Forgiveness is not for the other person and is not meant to lead into being best friends, getting back together or even talking. What it is meant for is for your own peace, joy and happiness in your heart. It’s important to note that when you are angry with someone, it also makes you tired. What is Forgiveness?

Forgiveness is letting go of the resentment, anger or hurt towards someone who has hurt you. It’s choosing to move forward in life without holding onto those negative feelings even if the person didn’t apologize or change their behavior. Forgiveness is about finding peace within yourself and releasing the emotions the have burdened you.

What happens if I don’t forgive?

If you don’t forgive you may hang on to the emotions of anger, bitterness or resentment. These feelings can weigh you down emotionally, mentally and physically. Holding onto grudges affects who we are, making it more difficult to give and receive love. In addition, it can affect you overall well-being leading to increased stress and unhappiness.

What happens when I forgive?

Forgiving is the most beautiful thing ever! If you haven’t done it before, I challenge you to give it a try! Look at is as an experiment. Forgiving allows you to live a more enjoyable, happier life with peace in your heart. In return, this opens more possibilities and excitement for life.
