What to do when you’re feeling down after enduring toxic relationships

Here is a video I created that talks about a few different things I do when I am feeling down.

There I was laying in my bed this morning as I woke up with a heavy, sad feeling in my heart. This isn’t usual for me but it can happen especially after enduring toxic relationships. There is nothing worse than waking up on a Friday morning feeling with way. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even want to get out of bed and hit snooze on my iPhone for an hour. Not to mention, I was waking up from a deep sleep so I felt groggy and unmotivated to start the day. Then, I started thinking, these feelings aren’t going to last forever. Equally important, I started thinking about the things I should do to start feeling emotionally better. I find the simple things can change our day very quickly like drinking enough water, yoga, listening to uplifting podcasts and eating healthy. Of course, there are additional protocols that I use including a sound vibration watch and essential oils that I find very helpful. With this in mind, I thought I should share what I do in my healing journey to help myself through these feelings in a healthy way. Furthermore, if sharing these natural ways impacts one person in a positive way, I am happy I shared.

Acknowledge The Sad Feeling

The first thing I do is acknowledge my feelings (and not push them away) and heal them by using a self-healing technique that I was taught. I did this before I even got out of bed. The second thing, which is really important is to make sure you are drinking ½ your body weight in water. I love to add 3 drops of “Citrus Fresh” YL Essential oil to my water especially if I’m feeling down. It has an uplifting citrus taste. The third thing I did was put on makeup and curl my hair. When I feel pretty, it can certainly help lift my mood. It’s important to point out that doing whatever brings joy or happiness into your life is important.

Move Your Body

Equally important is to add some activity to your life. One thing I really enjoy is doing yoga. My favorite is Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube. The sun is shining today, so I may take a drive. Sometimes just leaving my environment can be helpful. I may even paint my fingernails! In addition, I know how important exercise is, so being that it’s really cold and below zero today with a windshield, I’ll use my elliptical to boost my mood.

The Sound Vibration Watch

In addition, to the natural ways to lift my mood, I always find it helpful to put my WAVwatch on the settings for depression and trauma. Through my research I have learned that enduring toxic relationships or abuse, we have experienced trauma. There are several settings on the watch for mood,  emotions & trauma that I find really helpful. I use this watch every day and love it.

Trauma Protocol

Another useful tool I use are essential oils. The one I am using today is especially for trauma and emotional abuse. The first oil in the process is “Release”. I put a few drops in my hand and rub it on my liver and feet. The 2nd oil I use is “Joy” and put a drop on my hand and rub it on my heart. The third oil in the protocol is “3 Wise Men” and put a drop on the crown of my head. Then I take some time to sit, relax and rest. Another useful oil I will be using is “Trauma Life”. This is a great oil that I find super helpful to cope with emotional trauma. I have also used this oil many times for brain fog.
