Have you been scammed? If you have it’s very stressful! in this video (or you can read below) I’m going to show you exactly what to do so that you can potentially get your money back.
I’m going to show you the steps that you need to take if someone has scammed you. Learn about the recent PayPal and Amazon scam. These steps are going to help know what to do and make sure you act as quickly as possible so you can protect yourself from being scammed in the future. So don’t waste any time and let’s get started.
If you have been scammed, you need to take action right away. You should contact the company/business that you gave the information about to the scammer. Wherever the money is coming from, let them know you have been scammed.
For example, if you gave your bank account information, contact the bank. Likewise, if you gave out the pin number on the back of a gift card – contact the business that issued to card. A few examples of gift cards are Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.
You need to be as pushy as possible because it’s not always impossible to get your money back. You need to act fast.
You need to complain and report your incident to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). The process is really simple. You want to fill out this report as soon as possible. Here’s how you can report a scam step-by-step.
When you report your fraud or scam to the FTC, they will give you next steps to follow for the fraud the was reported.
Although it’s difficult to get your money back – it’s not always impossible. You really need to act quickly.
For example, if you mailed cash via UPS or Fedex – you can stop the package.
Can the FTC get my money back
The FTC does not resolve individual complaints, but provide excellent information on next steps on what to do after you report the incident. The information is sent to law enforcement to start investigations and helps with legal proceedings.
The more scams and fraud people report, the more information the FTC can pass along to consumers and protect others.
