Changing our normal habits is hard. It takes work, patience, and motivation. Here are some tips to stay motivated and focus on your goals:

Take small steps towards your goal – Don’t overwhelm yourself with too much change at once. Taking super small steps is a great way to start any new habit or life change is essential. Making changes to heal from emotional abuse is hard work. Equally difficult is changing our financial habits that we know as “normal” to a better more positive, healthy habit is hard.
Check out celebrate the small victories on your financial journey. If you can’t accomplish the one small step towards your goal in the first day, it’s still too big. If you are trying to make lasting changes in your finances, realize small steps matter.
It takes time to adjust to the new habit. Typically it takes 30-90 days to form your new habit. Just realize that if you feel uncomfortable, that means you are growing and soon it will feel normal and natural. So, good for you that you are getting out of your comfort zone and grow in a positive, healthy way!!!
