I have dealt with anxiety throughout my life. If you’re like me, you know it’s not easy. As a highly sensitive person to medication, it has always been my goal to ween myself off anxiety meds because of the side affects. As a matter of fact, I would take medication again if I needed to. However, as I write this, I have been off medication since January 15, 2023. Healing from anxiety is a process. I’ll share my 5 tips that helped me tremendously. Here are a few more tips on how I am eliminating anxiety.

This book, “Badass Ways to end Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks” helped me realize what was happening in my body and why I had anxiety. When I purchased this book, I was also having panic attacks and if you’ve had one, you know it scary. Especially when you wake up in the middle of the night with a racing heart, wondering what just happened. I usually had to get up out of bed and calm myself down. This book does an awesome job describing what happens during when you have anxiety and panic attacks.
I was recommended by a therapist to another therapist who was certified in ART Therapy. ART (Accelerated Response Therapy) helped me in the recovery process from the high startle response. One of the trauma’s I experienced was the exaggerated startle response or also known as jumpiness. Many people have asked me why I was so jumpy! After this therapy I no longer scream after someone comes through the door in our house unannounced. It’s so nice to feel at ease and at peace❤️. The 11 Day jumpstart is 11 days of eating food that is good for your body. This program really does help with emotional, mental & physical well-being. The Young Living Essential oil that has helped me feel less anxious is the essential oil, Valor. I put it on my wrists and neck and have seen amazing results in just one week!
