How to Calm Nervous Feelings After Emotional or Narcissistic Abuse

Recovering from emotional abuse or narcissistic abuse is a challenging journey. Trauma can leave our minds and bodies feeling exhausted, nervous, and overwhelmed. Luckily, I am here to help you explore some natural remedies and practices that can help calm nervous feelings and promote physical and emotional well-being. In this blog post, I’ll explore a few helpful tools that you can consider in your healing journey.

Essential Oils

Essential oils can be a powerful tool for calming nervous feelings and promoting relaxation. One oil that can be especially helpful is Valor. Valor is a great oil to use if you are looking for courage and a peaceful state of mind. To use, simply apply a drop or two on your wrists or behind your ears, or you can even diffuse it in your home or office.

Another great oil for relaxation is Frankincense. This oil has been used for centuries to promote deep relaxation – (think yoga), reduce feelings of nervousness, and balance the mind and body. To use, place a drop on the tip of your thumb and place it on the roof of your mouth for 10 seconds. You can also diffuse it in a diffuser or apply it topically to your temples, wrists, or neck.

Monitor your Potassium Levels

After some research & learning about my own potassium levels, I recommend experimenting with this. My Potassium levels were normal when I had bloodwork done. However, when you are stressed out, your potassium levels can sink. As a result, I experience tingling in my face or a twitching eye. Bring them back up to normal by drinking coconut water. I noticed a difference within 2 minutes of drinking 1 cup of coconut water. Coconut water is rich in potassium, which is an essential mineral for maintaining healthy muscles and nerves, reducing stress, and promoting balance in the body and mind.
