How to Believe you can Get out of Debt

Let’s talk about how to really believe you can get out of debt. I am happy you are here and I believe you can do it! Many people find this type of goal setting very motivational.

Here is one way I have seen goal setting done without any paper. Lay down in a comfortable spot. Make sure you are warm and cozy. Being free from noise and distractions will prove to be very helpful.

Ok, are you ready? Your goal is to get out of debt. If you are interested, I have a post on “How to get Good Credit When You have Bad Credit“.

Image what it looks like to have no more debt.

What does that look like? Take at least 5 minutes to really daydream about this. What state are you living in? What kind of house are you imagining? Where are you working? What are you doing on a daily basis?

Let your smile come through as you can feel the happy and peaceful thoughts come to your mind. Enjoy this state of being.

Next, make note of how you are feeling. What are you feeling? What is the look on your face? How do you feel? These feelings should be positive and enjoyable.

Now, take that image and put it into words. Another idea is to find pictures and put them on a picture board, and hang it up to remind you of your goal.

The way we think has a powerful effect on who we are.

The human brain is one of the powerful and important tools we have access to. We are going to use this useful and important tool to get out of debt!

Get this! We are what we think. What we think, we become. This is powerful! The words “I am” are so powerful.

Writing down positive statements about yourself will help with self-confidence and the image of yourself!

It’s really what we think of money that determines the outcome. Negative thoughts about money have a huge impact on our money habits. Let’s change that.

Let’s try it. Say these statements each day, morning & evening for 3 months. Set a reminder on your phone until you get into a routine. Experts say it takes 3 months to train your brain so let’s get this started.

Statements to read each morning & evening

  1. I am open to having positive thoughts about money
  2. I believe in myself
  3. I am important
  4. I am resourceful
  5. I am in control of my thoughts, feelings and actions about money
  6. I am grateful for my earnings every day.
  7. My income is sufficient
  8. I am going to be financially independent
  9. I am responsible to manage my money successfully
  10. I am going to develop positive money habits
  11. I am going to create an emergency fund
  12. I am dedicated to pay off my debt
  13. I am motivated to build excellent credit
  14. Money is going to have a positive impact in my life.
  15. I am determined to get the BEST opportunities in life.
  16. I am worthy of a great life filled with happiness, joy & respect
  17. Everything that I need to succeed is already within me.
