As a single mom, you’ve had to make tough decisions and work hard every day to provide for your family. If you’re like me when I was a single mom, I got used to putting on a brave face and moving forward despite any uncertainties or heartbreaks that come along the way. I am here to let you know that pushing those feelings away or avoiding them doesn’t heal them, especially if you have experienced emotional abuse. Sometimes that word can be really hard to hear. I know because I was the same way until I healed my heart. It’s important to know, nobody can truly move forward without taking time to heal their inner emotional wounds. That’s why it’s so important for us as single moms to learn how do this the way that’s best for you. In return, we can start feeling more positive about our lives and even grow beyond your imagination! In this blog post, let’s talk about ways to consider healing your heart—from talk therapy, to reading books to my Healing Hearts Program. When we heal our heart, it really opens up possibilities in our lives. If we don’t heal our hearts, we may be limiting our possibilities in life.
Professional therapists are trained to help you work through your emotions. This was the first step I took. When you find a great therapist, they can provide a safe and supportive space for you to open up about your experiences. In addition, they can validate your feelings, offer guidance and tools on how to move forward. Talking to a therapist can be tough at first, but it can also be incredibly empowering by helping you understand the chaos of what is going on in your life. I thought this was a great first step for me. It just depends on your situation and what you are comfortable with.
Aside from therapy, reading can also be a powerful tool for healing. There are many books out there that discuss emotional abuse and offer ways to heal from it. Reading about other people’s stories and experiences can help you feel less alone and provide new perspectives on how to navigate your own healing journey. Some books may also offer practical exercises or techniques that you can use in your healing journey. I have so many self-help books! Reading is great, however, it certainly takes time to read, comprehend and then implement.
If you have done some work healing your heart already, you may be ready to move forward and get on the fast track to heal your heart from people who have hurt you in the past. You will be able to live a more peaceful, relaxed life with natural boundaries and confidence. If you aren’t comfortable with a therapist, want to heal on your own, just want to get on with life, you’re tired of researching all the “why’s and trying to figure out if your feelings are valid, this program may the answer. The timing needs to be right for you.
If the timing is not right for you right now and you would prefer to build trust with me, which I totally get! I would like to invite you to join the private Facebook group. I think it’s important for you to get the support you need as you are healing your heart.
Remember that healing your heart is a journey, not a destination. It takes time and effort, but it is worth it in the end. Be patient with yourself and celebrate small victories along the way. Surround yourself with supportive people who understand your journey and don’t be afraid to reach out for help when needed. As single moms, we are stronger together!
